Q4 2020 Android Pair Puzzle App Performance in the US

The final quarter of 2020 saw interesting trends in the Pair Puzzle category for Android apps within the United States. Sensor Tower's data provides us with an insight into how these apps performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

Match 3D -Matching Puzzle Game by Lion Studios Plus experienced a significant uptick across all metrics. Downloads jumped from 95K in the final week of September to a peak of 264K in the last week of December. Revenue reflected a similar pattern, with an increase from $49K to $211K in the same period. Weekly active users almost doubled, climbing from 321K to over 607K.

Mahjong Jigsaw Puzzle Game, developed by Jam City, Inc., maintained a more consistent performance. Revenue stayed within the $52K to $68K range, while downloads saw a modest rise from 20K to 28K. Weekly active users experienced a gradual increase, ending with 111K in the last week of December compared to 96K at the start of the quarter.

VIZOR APPS LTD.'s Mahjong Treasure Quest showed a decline in revenue from $65K to $46K and a drop in downloads from 2.7K to 2.1K. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, with a slight decrease from 18K to 16K.

G5 Entertainment's Mahjong Journey: Tile Match displayed a decrease in revenue over the quarter, from $20K to $22K, with a sharp drop in downloads after the second week of October, eventually ceasing. Active users showed a downward trend from 6.5K to 4K.

Lastly, Emperor of Mahjong Tile Match, also from G5 Entertainment, had varied revenue numbers, ending the quarter slightly higher at $7.7K, compared to $12K at the start. No new downloads were recorded after the first week of October, and active users were not reported.
